Five Capitals To Invest
Five Capitals To Invest
Reading a study on faith-driven investing and was reminded of the five capitals framework. The Five Capitals are in order of importance; spiritual capital, relational, physical, intellectual & financial capital.
Having a Kingdom mindset we must realize that as Sons & Daughters of THE Father & THE King of the ALL Creation we have talent, tools and treasure to invest things that advance THE KINGDOM. Meaning that we all have spiritual capital to invest in others by teaching, serving, mentoring, etc. God gives us knowledge as we read His word and we have the capability to share it with others.
When we build friendships and serve others we build up equity in that relationship thus relational capital that can be leveraged for future benefit. Physical capital has to do with your health and fitness. If one is not physically healthy it is difficult for me the mind to adapt and certainly more difficult to earn an income or financial capital.
Since financial capital is earned through labor or intellectual prowess, it drives the importance of physical capital that serves as a lever to make eternal impact that flows from spiritual & relational capital.
