Aftershock @ Deeper W1 Report

Last night we had 22 people come, 4 from other churches and 18 from ours, almost double the number that came from our church to City Quake. That is pushing nearly 50% of our Sunday morning attendance. So cool! 2 people made decisions to follow Jesus and many were prayed for and loved on. One lady sharing about praying for a man struggling with addiction was overcome with tears as the compassion of the Father filled her. Many of us ended up in Town Square in Burien, and I got to see my brothers and sisters being bold and caring. It looked so natural, like the everyday normal life of a Christian should look. I pray the other Aftershocks at the other churches will be twice as fruitful as ours was.

@Richie interested to hear your thoughts on this ... my partners and I have been thinking about building a Kingdom KPI dashboard to help churches track LEAD & LAG metrics of outreach. KPI = Key Performance Indicators LEAD Metrics = Activities that drive goals LAGs = Goals met by doing LEADs For example, 1 Aftershock sends out 22 folks who end up engaging 2 people each for 44 interactions that lead 2 salvations and 6 healings and 14 recommitments to Christ and the church ends up having 10 new members join to be discipled. With the example above you can begin to see that if you consistently go out on mission and focus on making disciples it will lead to the growth of a healthy multiplying church. Now, take that KPI data and roll it up to say 15-30 churches across a community or city and you can begin to see how the united church can transform a city :-) Question - if you had such a tool to track outreaches, salvations, healings, etc. would you use it? @Richie - it would be for all purposes of tracking church health. We would like to develop this because it could help structure behavior to drive outcomes aligned to the great commission across the country so we can see as a connected community or church at large the greater national and global impact we all are having.

I think it could help. I don’t have anything against Seeker sensitive churches or mega churches, but as these churches have grown extensively throughout the nation, the general population has become less Christian, which means the model has the appearance of success in the community, but without making a statistical difference in new believers vs loss of believers, birth rate, etc. If it’s possible to show real statistical change in a community, then the leaders and believers hungry for saving the lost will gravitate toward something more appealing than a Seeker sensitive model.

Praise the Lord!! That's so good! Oh how I wish my wife and I lived in the area. Guess we will have to simply walk this out daily. Keep the faith and watch Him grow this for His glory
